Hatfield House Consulting was founded in 2012 by principal consultant, Joanne Smith. We have an impressive record of successfully resolving complex program, policy and stakeholder issues on contentious projects across the NSW public sector.

About Joanne Smith
Joanne Smith is a strategic policy and management specialist with more than 15 years’ experience.
She has a highly regarded track record in the development and implementation of strategic, program and policy planning, workshop facilitation and reporting, and stakeholder management, in high profile and contentious matters across the NSW public sector.
Joanne provides strategic and operational advice to decision makers by drawing on a wealth of public sector leadership experience, including senior roles in the NSW Ministry of Health, a NSW Government Ministerial Office, and across portfolios including Health, Environment and Conservation, Education and Training, and Local Government.
Her detailed understanding of the public sector’s strategic and political environments, enables her to analyse critical issues and deliver feasible solutions that can be successfully implemented in a timely manner.
She is a reflective and rational thinker who thrives on complex challenges. With qualifications in law, public administration and government, she is regarded as an exceptional negotiator and communicator, and is accustomed to balancing a diverse range of stakeholder interests.
